NSERC launches Science, Action! video contest
The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada’s (NSERC) Science, Action! video contest is back. Put your students in the spotlight: encourage them to show Canadians the world-class research happening on your campus.
As part of the contest, post-secondary student participants work alone or in teams to film or animate short, creative videos that that tell a simple story about fascinating science. The winning submission will receive a cash prize of $3,500.
This is a great chance for your students to show Canadians why research matters. Every year, tens of thousands of science fans across Canada watch and share their favourite videos online. The top 15 videos will be featured in museum exhibits, at public science events, and as part of the Science Odyssey and Science Literacy Week national celebrations.
Videos focused on research related to Canada’s North are also eligible for an additional special prize worth $3,000 (one winner selected).
Submission deadline: Friday, January 18.
