Email domains changing to reflect Â鶹´«Ã½ University brand
Information Technology (IT) Services will make changes to email addressing for faculty, staff and students. These changes will be implemented in four stages; they represent an important piece in a larger effort to incorporate the Â鶹´«Ã½ University brand into IT applications and services:
- .net (Google Gmail accounts) - completed August 18
All @uoit.net accounts have been switched to the new @ontariotechu.net address. There are no changes to your @uoit.net account. All files, folders and data have been seamlessly transferred over to @ontariotechu.net. - .ca (Outlook) accounts for incoming emails – completed August 23
You can now receive emails to your ontariotechu.ca email address. These emails are delivered to your existing Outlook account. Outgoing email will temporarily continue to use the old address. You can receive incoming email using either address. This will ensure you’ll always receive emails sent to @uoit.ca.
You can now use the new email address on stationery, on business cards, in your email signature files, etc. - .ca (Outlook) accounts for outgoing emails – late fall/early winter
In late fall/early winter, IT Services will complete the switch for your outgoing email to @ontariotechu.ca. - dc-uoit.ca (Outlook) accounts – late fall/early winter
The transition for @dc-uoit.ca will happen at a later date. Further details will be communicated later this year.
