Campus ID cards are now digital

Hunter the Ridgeback's digital ID that displays his name, then underneath is his ID number, underneath that is the barcode, underneath that is is pictureÂ鶹´«Ã½ ID cards have undergone recent changes, making it faster and easier for cardholders to obtain and access their ID. A newly designed digital ID card is now available, along with online photo submission software.

Current faculty, staff and students can sign in to the Â鶹´«Ã½ mobile app to access their new mobile campus ID in the Digital ID section.

The digital ID card:

  • Adheres to security measures (e.g. Government-issued photo identification is still required to release a new mobile ID to a cardholder).
  • Allows faculty, staff and students to upload their photo and quickly obtain their virtual ID card using the Â鶹´«Ã½ mobile app.
  • Contains the user’s photo.
  • Displays the user’s Banner ID number and barcode.
  • Is accepted wherever the ID barcode is currently used on campus.

Physical cards are still available, upon request, only to those who don’t already have one and/or require on-campus access. A $25 replacement fee applies for physical cards.

This is a soft launch of the digital ID card to provide an opportunity to work out any minor details or kinks and implement any planned new features. Further details will be provided closer to the official launch this summer.
