Remembrance Day services - November 11
This year marks the 76th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
To honour all who have fallen, and to acknowledge those who have served for our freedom, the university invites faculty, staff and students to participate in initiatives on and leading up to Remembrance Day, including:
- Â鶹´«Ã½ Student Union’s (OTSU) poppy campaign
Visit OTSU’s office at Shawenjigewining Hall to pick up a poppy and sign your name on a poppy cutout to be displayed in their lobby. OTSU will collect donations for the , Oshawa.
Where: Shawenjigewining Hall, OTSU lobby, Room 115.
When: Daily (Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) through Thursday, November 11.
- City of Oshawa’s Remembrance Day ceremony
Tune into this year’s virtual Remembrance Day ceremony hosted by the City of Oshawa, and the Royal Canadian Legion Branches 43 and 637.
