Share your thoughts on Canada’s strategy for radioactive waste at the Nuclear Waste Management Organization’s Youth Engagement Workshop – November 8 and 9

The Minister of Natural Resources Canada tasked the to engage with Canadians and Indigenous Peoples of all ages to inform the development of a long-term management strategy for all of Canada’s radioactive waste, in particular low- and intermediate-level waste. To provide an opportunity for youth to share their views, the NWMO will host a Youth Engagement Workshop on Monday, November 8 and Tuesday, November 9.

Karine Glenn, Strategic Project Director at the NWMO will lead the sessions and will share:

  • A presentation on the project.
  • Basic information about radioactive waste.
  • International best practices in the long-term management of low- and intermediate-level waste

Following the presentation, an independent moderator will host a discussion on several key questions.
