Join the Dimensions review committee and help make research more equitable, diverse and inclusive

Dimensions, a Tri-Agency initiative from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, seeks new members for its review committee to help post-secondary institutions increase equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), and to help drive deeper cultural change within the research ecosystem.

The aims to address obstacles faced by, but not limited to, women, Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, members of visible minorities/racialized groups, and members of LGBTQ2+ communities.

Interested scholars and administrators are encouraged to check out the .

The committee will assess applications and provide constructive feedback to help institutions continue to make change.

Who should apply?

  • Scholars, administrators and professionals with lived experience as a member of one or more of the five equity-deserving groups of Dimensions.
  • Scholars who have expertise in academic studies related to understanding inequity and exclusion in society, and specifically in the higher education context.
  • Administrators and professionals who have experience or expertise related to efforts to address EDI in the post-secondary research sector.


Meetings will take place virtually by videoconference. Accessible format selection will occur in consultation with the successful candidates once the committee has been established.
