Federal government launches Advisory Panel on Research Support Systems
On October 6 the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Federal Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), and the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Federal Minister of Health announced the launch of the .
The panel will provide independent, expert policy advice on the structure, governance and management of the federal system supporting research and talent, including the relationships among the granting agencies and the relationship between these agencies and the Canada Foundation for Innovation.
The panel’s recommendations will balance respect for the needs of disciplinary communities with a holistic perspective across disciplines and across research, training and associated infrastructure.
