Â鶹´«Ã½ Forensic Science faculty member receives award at International Forensic Science Conference
Dr. Theresa Stotesbury, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Science, received an award for best oral presentation at the International Association of Forensic Science (IAFS) 2023 conference in Sydney, Australia. The award was for her talk, entitled DNA crosslinked alginate hydrogels: new materials for forensic blood substitutes, presented as part of the crime scene investigation section of the conference. The award was presented at the Gala Dinner, hosted at Luna Park. More than 1,700 delegates from 70 countries attended the conference.
The IAFS is a worldwide association of academics and forensic practitioners across many fields, including, but not limited to forensic pathology, death investigation, fingerprints, DNA, drug analysis, toxicology, firearms, documents, trace evidence, psychiatry, anthropology, and forensic scientific research.
