In October, the university communicated that it received approval from Ontario’s Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) to move forward with an efficiency review, financed by the . This fund supports third-party evaluations of individual post-secondary institutions to identify opportunities to maximize resources, while continuing to meet the evolving needs of students, faculty, staff, and local communities.

The university hired consulting firm KPMG to conduct process reviews, and they have engaged with numerous members across the university for their thoughts and perspectives on areas where potential efficiencies may be achieved. To ensure the broader university community can share their feedback, the university invites faculty and staff to complete a short survey to highlight areas and ideas for improved efficiency across the institution.
