Volunteers needed for AskMe information booths
The Office of Student Life seeks faculty, staff and students to volunteer for on-campus information booths.
Running Monday, January 6 to Wednesday, January 8, information booths will be stationed across our north and downtown Oshawa campus locations to welcome new and returning students for the Winter semester. Volunteer support is needed to answer student questions and help them navigate campus.
Virtual help will also be available for those who prefer speaking to someone online. The online service will be run by a Student Engagement and Equity staff member during the same time period.
To sign up, complete the by Thursday, December 19.
Training:
- Asynchronous training for the AskMe information booths will be sent via email on Friday, December 20 and will take approximately one hour to complete.
- The final volunteer schedule will be distributed the week of December 30.
- A virtual drop-in session will be hosted on Google Meet, Thursday, January 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. for volunteers who have questions about their shift(s) and/or training materials.
